We started The Pilates RX “For the Moms” program to build overall confidence and empowerment throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. We believe every pregnant woman can benefit from a proactive approach, this includes a thorough musculoskeletal assessment and trimester check ins for an individualized approach to manage all the changes that come along with pregnancy and to prepare for childbirth and the early postpartum period.


We also believe in continued focus on your postpartum recovery beyond the standard first 6 weeks, this includes postpartum rehabilitation and guided care through the fourth trimester (12 weeks) and beyond to combat the postural demands of child care, restore normal function and prior activity level, and achieve fitness goals safely with reduced risk of developing future issues.

Exercise is beneficial throughout pregnancy for both mother and developing baby, prenatal pilates focuses specifically on addressing the needs of expectant mothers with safe trimester by trimester modifications, to improve overall physical and mental wellbeing with mindful movement, ease aches and pains from posture related changes, strengthen and stabilize, and prevent common pregnancy related conditions. Prenatal pilates will safely target your core stabilizers, strengthen your upper and lower body, enhance mind body connection, attention to breath, and awareness of how to contract and relax your pelvic floor to help prepare for labor and childbirth.

Post-Natal Pilates

Postnatal pilates focuses specifically on addressing the needs of the postpartum body after both vaginal and c-section deliveries, facilitating postpartum recovery, managing common postpartum and childcare related issues like lower back, neck, shoulder pain and tension, and utilize mindful movement for the physical and mental demands of motherhood. An early postpartum focus on reconnecting to your core and safe guided return to abdominal strengthening is vital in resuming your previous exercise routine safely. Exercise can aid in postpartum stress, anxiety, and depression management.

Pre-Natal Pilates

  • 4 session package includes

    • pre-pregnancy/first trimester assessment to establish your baseline

    • 2nd, 3rd, and 4th trimester (post-natal) screening for ongoing assessment, education, and personalized pilates instruction. 

  • Customized recommendations based on findings from your wellness "check-ins" may include Prenatal/Postnatal Pilates, Physical Therapy, or both!

  • The wellness package can be combined with our Pilates packages, and/or additional physical therapy treatments as needed.



The goal of our wellness packages during pregnancy is to take a proactive approach to your care through ongoing musculoskeletal assessment and check-ins with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.   You will receive trimester specific guidance and instruction regarding appropriate modifications of your daily activities, as well as safe modifications for exercise.  We will also implement targeted therapeutic exercise programming to address muscle imbalances arising from postural changes and demands of child care.  Recommendations will be provided for continued care during and after your pregnancy with the overall goal of building self confidence and empowerment in your ever changing body.  Give yourself the gift of confidence that with the wellness package you will feel supported, educated, and strong through each step of your pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum recovery!
